Invisible/Concealed Hinges

Concealed or Invisible Hinges are hinges that are hidden from view and allow you to see only the surface of the door. These hinges are sometimes called "European-style" hinges and offer a clean design look. A concealed or invisible hinge is used for full size doors where a hidden door application is desired. This hinge offers easier door adjustment to compensate for slight imperfections in door construction. Another benefit of the concealed hinge is the ability to take a door on or off without removing the hardware. As the door opens, the Rack and Pinion Pivot moves the pivot point away from the door jamb so that the invisible hinge side edge of the door does not need to be rounded .

Concealed or Invisible Hinges are used for main doors as well as cabinet doors (with or without self closing feature, with or without dampening systems). These hinges are made of 2 parts:

• The hinge cup and the arm
• The mounting plate

The concealed hinges consist of two parts: Pivots and Brackets.
