6) Curtain Holdbacks: Also called tiebacks, curtain holdbacks are an artistic solution for holding the freely dangling drapery. Holdbacks come in basically two different styles, i.e., staight rod and curved metal rod curtain holdbacks. The straight rod style holdbacks are fixed on the wall near the curtain; they usually hold the leading edge of a curtain. Curved metal rod style holdbacks are also fixed on the wall in the proximity of the curtain window, but they tie up the curtain in a rather different style.

7) Curtain Midials: Curtain midials are quite alike the curtain finials in fundamentals, yet there is one major difference. Unlike the finials which are static at both the ends of the curtain rod, curtain midials provide the flexibility of customizing the length of the curtain rod as they can move along the length of the rod and can be fixed at any point. Curtain midials are the result of the contemporary inventions in the curtain hardware.
