Door fasteners used to fasten the
doors are being increasingly made from aluminum. Aluminum is a soft and
malleable metallic element and a very lightweight metal, about one-third
the weight of steel. Aluminum is a very durable metal, which can be
easily fabricated, formed, welded, riveted or bolted. It is used in a
variety of applications like Ceiling panels, light fixtures, handrails,
wall panels, table tops, including hooks, hinges, knobs, handles and
also fasteners. Aluminum has gained a lot of popularity because of its
anti-rust properties and is hence used to make durable and sleek door
fasteners. They may be crafted out of hand cast aluminum, inlaid with
resin, and then polished.
